hi there
primus have told me before they can move my calls from bt to them, the need a bt bill or welcome letter to prove i own the line and number ( bt put my line in last friday), also they have already taken my bank details ready for payment
is the above normal practice ?

No, but they'd normally take over call provisioning on an established line. It appears that, as your line is so new, they need to have proof that the line is yours.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
