Confusion on cards statement

My Cahoot card has defaulted or supposed to be doing so, Ive havent paid anything but token payments since January.

I am getting all the information on my charges to reclaim but Im confused by something i see on my statements can any one help?

It says direct debit payment sums of between £38-£120 going in from jan to now then they are debited again stating payment reversal.

How can it show payments that i havent made or am i being a bit thick?

It sounds unlikely that it would take this long, but:

They have been claiming DDs from your bank and creditting them as they claim them (normal)
The bank has refused payment (presumably either you've cancelled the DD or there wasn't enough to cover them)
They've just cottoned on to this and are reversing the credits.

Yes, what dzug says is correct. The bank denied payment, so to show this, the DD payment is reversed on the statement.
