Hello, could someone help with the direct debit min payment for capital one classic credit card does that just come directly from your bank account an nothing to do with debit card as i recently got a replacement debit card as my old one broke, because this month when i check my capital one statement online it says it has taken the direct debit but my bank account balance and available balance are still the same an normally i see the transaction straight away should i just pay the min payment for this month manually to be on the safe side or should i be fine? Thanks in advanced.

A new debit card won't affect it at all. Its a bank holiday weekend, so the direct debit won't come out of your account until Tuesday.0 -
The debit card won't affect your direct debits but if I was you I would just pay the minimum manually to avoid having to solve any issues afterwards, especially as there seems to be a problem as no money has come out of your bank when it usually does. Try finding if there is an issue for next month and get it sorted0

Direct Debits are taken using the account's sort code and account number, not the sixteen digit number on your card.
Direct Debits take a few days to be processed. Even longer at the moment, due to the holiday weekend.
I've noticed that some organisations I have Direct Debits set up with will mark my account as paid before the money disappears from my bank account. I'm not sure whether Capital One is one of them.
If the Direct Debit's been running for a while without any problems and there's sufficient money in your account to cover it there shouldn't be a problem.
New Direct Debits take a while to set up. Check your last Capital One statement says something like: 'Your Direct Debit payment of £x will be taken on...' If it does and there's money in your account when it's requested there shouldn't be a problem.0
