Asda, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Tesco and Waitrose, please rate 1 to 5, with 1 being the best. If you haven't been to one of the shops, then just leave it out and do a 1 to 4.
I'll start:
1. Sainsburys
2. Asda
3. Morrisons
4. Tesco
(haven't been to Waitrose)

No Waitrose where I live. To be honest I think they're all good where I live except Morrisons, they hardly even say sorry when you've been overcharged and you go to the customer service desk.0 -

Sainsbury's, waitrose and morrisons are all very good near me with friendly and helpful staff. Asda and tesco aren't in the same league and aside from popping into asda on occasion to take advantage of really good offers I avoid them.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -

Sainsbury's at the top.

The rest are on par with each other.:grouphug:

What is the point of this poll.
Everyone as different tastes etc. and will not change because of a straw poll on a money saving site...or at least i would not.0 -
No Sainsbury's or Waitrose near me. I rarely shop in Asda.
Morrisons - the one nearest me is great for customer service. It is also a large store, well lit and with wide aisles. On the occasions I use the other Morrisons in town, I find it to be small and cramped, with staff who couldn't care less. The only reason I sometimes go in is that it is convenient when I am shopping in that particular area for other items.
Tesco, again the one nearest me is fine. Several staff know my name and the names of my children - they ask after them if the kids aren't with me. A larger Tesco that I sometimes go to is also fine for customer service, but the large one in town is poor. Also, it is so large, with bread hidden in the corner furthest from the entrance, that you feel like you've walked miles just to get a loaf. I avoid that store whenever possible.0 -

As my work is customer service, it depends on who you deal with.
I am often praised by customers because of I able to end the call with them happy and faith restored because of the actions of the previous CSA (or the one before that) which made them angry. Even had letters sent to head office praising me. We all receive the same training when we start and top up training when a new system, product or procedure is introduced. Some people are not very CS approachable at all.
People that had bad customer service experience normally tell 5-6 times as many people than if they received fantastic CS.

Though one of the posters said as they were overcharged, they have to go to customer service desk. That applies to all supermarkets as the tills are not designed to have money refunded. Plus its easier for the tills to be counted if one or two tills are used for refunds as a checkout team leader cousin tells me.0 -
I didn't mean it as a complaint though ( about going to customer service desk) I just meant that in the Morrisons where I live the staff on the customer service desk very rarely say sorry or acknowledge that it's their fault that the till has been programmed with wrong price. Usually I find the Customer Service staff in all of the other shops to be very good.fionajbanana wrote: »As my work is customer service, it depends on who you deal with.

I've had varying service in all supermarkets, it depends on who happens to serve you and like all humans some can have off days.0
