I'm going to look into it tonight and decide.. but am leaning towards throwing £6k at the offer.

Should be an inbuilt instant profit of 10-15%

THough with the market tumbling, I am thinking twice !

    I'm giving it a miss,

    Why ?

Cos the market overall is weakening and I don't want to add stocks whilst the markets weak.

There will offcourse be plenty of time to buy the shares in the future should the stock be sound and the overall market be strong.

Today does not look like a good day to buy IG for 113 to 136 at a market cap of £400 million.

I applied for their shares last time, about £2k I think. I sold them when the price was very stable and a little bit boring and made a couple of hundred notes out of it. Of course not long after the inital share price doubled !!!

I did exactly the same with Billy Hill, got out before the price shot up.

I used to be a very heavey spread better but haven't had any knid of bet for about 18 months. I won't be gambling on this one either !!

Yeh Gambler, I also was a heavy spread better but have switched to currency trading proper

Get better spreads, fills and orders. Though I note IG have now introduced industry norms such as open limits / stops and contingent orders but the spreads are too high !

I only use them now for FTSE futures.... and even then mostly just for hedging a part of the portfolio against drops.
