Thomson holidays Riu Tequilla/Yucatan Playacar

I am a returning guest to the Riu Tequilla in Playacar and have been used to using the beach facilities at the Riu Yucatan as advertised in the Thomson brochure, on most days of my holiday. After completing my full payment to Thomson, I have been advised that the Riu Yucatan is closed. This will considerably reduce the facilities for my holiday and impact on the Riu Tequilla Hotel. Thomson's will not refund. I understand that Thomson's were in a position to let us know these changes before the final holiday balance was due and given me the informed choice to change my holiday destination at this point.

Is anyone else in this situation?:(
