I like the foam ones you can get from Boots, I've always found the wax one's too hard and uncomfortable.
You've got to warm them up properly. Manipulate them in your fingers for a good while until they're as soft as putty, then fashion them into a narrow bit with a blob on the end, then pop them in, narrow end first.

I have tried them fluff, but I just find them really uncomfortable and also that they seem to dislodge and fall out in the middle of the night.
I then have to search through the bed looking for them.
The foam ones don't last long, but I find them more effective for me.
Relegating OH to the other room works even better thoughMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Yeah, they do have a habit of doing this. I'm forever squashing them back in. But after 8 years of wearing them I've got it down to a fine art

There are sites that sell bags of different ear plugs so you can find which fit/suit you better. Once you find ones you like then buy them in giant bags on ebay.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Luckily dh uses industrial earplugs at work and as they change type all the time his boss lets me have the unused ones snd boy do I need them!
I've also found that if I sleep facing his back with my elbow next to his head he can't roll over on his back, his prime snoring position, without getting my elbow in his face, may seem harsh butit works!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
As blokes age their soft palate becomes softer, collapsing downwards if they sleep on their back and breathing in causes it to 'flutter' making the snoring noise. Solution: tie them to the bed on their side!.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

My hubby only snores when he's had a lot to drink and after months of elbowing him or trying to shake him awake without success, I now hold his nose closed with one hand and put the other one over his mouth - it would take about 15 seconds of not breathing before he'd jump awake then I'd make his turn onto his side. Cruel I know but it works for me!0

I use earplugs - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pairs-Howard-Leight-Laser-Plugs/dp/B0007XJOLG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367755341&sr=8-1&keywords=howard+leight are fantastic and I've tried them all (although it's personal preference!)
I've also taken to playing white noise as well. This helps us both to sleep. You can get free white noise generators on the net, http://www.simplynoise.com/ is a good one.0 -
