2 Participation
Participation in the prize draw is free and reserved for entrants over the age of 18 who have internet access and a valid e-mail address, who live in the UK or in Ireland and have a Facebook account. The prize draw is not open to employees of AIR FRANCE and KLM or their families or to employees of companies involved in the organisation of the prize draw. Entry into the prize draw will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions. No other form of participation is possible.

3 Availability and Duration
The prize draw is only available online at the following addresses: https://www.facebook.com/klmuk and https://www.facebook.com/klmireland. If necessary, the organiser reserves the right to defer, alter, cancel or renew the prize draw. The organiser is not liable in any of these cases. The prize draw begins 1 May 2013. Final entry is at 11:59pm on 27 May 2013.

The winner will be selected after the prize draw has closed. The winner will be informed by e-mail by 10th June 2013. In order to claim the prize, the winner needs to acknowledge the email within one month from the date of receipt.

4 Terms and Conditions
Participation in this prize draw is voluntary. Only one entry is permitted per person/household. Each participant may enter only once. A “Participant” is defined as follows: anyone who “Likes” the KLM UK or KLM Ireland page, answers the competition question correctly and enters their details into the sweepstake.

By entering the competition, the participant agrees to all terms and conditions listed here.

5 Prize draw Outline
The participant must take part in the prize draw between 01 May and 27 May 2013.


6 Selection of Winner
The winner will be drawn at random from all participants who entered the prize draw. The winner will be informed by e-mail by 10th June 2013. Winners’ names can be displayed on the KLM Facebook walls at https://www.facebook.com/klmuk and https://www.facebook.com/klmireland.

7 Prize
One winner will be selected. The prize includes: Two return tickets to Los Angeles in Economy Class with KLM from one of our UK and Ireland departure airports (Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Durham Tees Valley, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Humberside, Leeds Bradford, London Heathrow, Dublin, Manchester, Manston, Newcastle and Norwich).Two night stay at the Beverly Garland Hotel and a pair of tickets to the Universal Studios Hollywood℠.
Prize winner flight ticket conditions:

Non-changeable
Valid on KLM operated flights only
Non-transferable
KLM will pay for the airport taxes
The winner and companion must travel on the same dates/routing for the whole journey.
The prize cannot be transferred to another person.
Travel dates are subject to availability of prize winner booking class
Travel must be completed before 31 May 2014
Tickets should be claimed at least 28 days before travel, and winner should book as early as possible, for more chance of availability of applicable travel class on requested flights.

8 Claiming Prize
An email containing a prize letter will be sent to confirm the prize. A prize may not be exchanged for any other prizes or services for equal or lesser value or for cash. The prize is non-transferable. No frequent flyer Miles will be credited for the prize flights. Please note the following relating to the prize tickets:

(i) Each pair of tickets must be used together
(ii) Winners are responsible for their own travel to and from the airport.
(iii) Winners must reside in the UK or in Ireland and depart from one of KLM’s UK and Ireland departure airports. KLM reserves the right to request written proof of residency and the age of any winner before the prize is dispatched.

KLM reserves the right, due to acts of nature or reasons beyond their control, to change the type of prize in the course of the prize draw or to replace the prize with a different prize of equal value. Under no circumstances shall this alternative lead to replacement or refund.

Personal data gathered for the purpose of this prize draw will be handled in confidence in line with the Data Protection Act (see data protection at klm.co.uk or klm.ie)

9 Liability and Applicable Law
Judges’ decision is final. The liability of KLM is limited exclusively to the value of the prize. KLM shall not be held liable for possible disruption to internet services or related links occurring due to unpermitted data sharing or illegal acts, which in turn result in disruptions of administrative procedures and security and organisation of the prize draw. KLM shall also not be held liable for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletion or loss of e-mails. KLM shall be held liable for neither internet congestion, equipment quality of the internet user, quality of internet connection nor transfer delays resulting from this.
