    Definitely ignore this.

No problem at all having two cards - this could help should one issuer have an outage, as RBS/NatWest did last year.

From a credit rating point of view, won't be an issue at all as long as they're managed well, many people have lots more than two (I have eight, for example - for use abroad, interest free purchases, clubcard points, cashback or whatever other benefit is offered at the time!).

Why should you ignore my post?? I DON'T want a credit card is there something wrong with that

.....but what value was there in your post?!?!?
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

Sorry i don't understand what you mean.

    The OP asked:
Currently have 2 credit cards ... I'd feel happier having one card, but not if it's going to hurt me in the long run.

    and you replied
One debit card i have never had credit card and i never will.

How is that in any shape or form going to help the OP? He doesn't care whether you want a credit card or not, they didn't ask that.

You seemed to have answered a question that was not asked.
