    Well they have made nearly £28,000 from those three items alone they have for sale.

    So they just keep emptying the paypal account, or spend the paypal funds before paypal cottons on?

    What happens if you get paid with the suspect paypal balance?

    The paypal email addres will have been changed to the hackers email, so the hacker gets the money... then the hacker changes it back a few days later when the buyers realise they aint getting their product... So claim via eBay/PayPal... Paypal refund the buyer from the original email address of the seller...

    Any claim will be made against the PayPal account the payment went to. So if hacker only has access to the eBay account and changes the PayPal ID to their own, it remains chargeable back from the hackers account. Any chargeback goes to the PayPal account used for payment , not to any other address previously used on that account.

    If you register a brand new PayPal account for high end goods then it is very likely that PayPal will hold funds . That isn't to protect us, that is to protect themselves as buyers will have full buyer protection so if funds have all been withdrawn then PayPal will lose out.

    That is why they will try to hack a paypal account in good standing and an eBay account without limits. Although no-one appears to have bought those items since we were discussing this yesterday, so I wonder if the eBay acc. has already reached the selling limits?

    You would think there would be trail and paypal would be able to see where the money has gone?
