    The legislation fits in well with reality as the poster intentionally wants to defraud the mortgage company.

    Let's hope that the OP's partner notified the provider of his house insurance policies, switching from a residential policy to a LL policy and that if he hasn't that nothing happens to the property in the remaining period of ownership

    See this thread for the sorry tale of one amateur LL who faces a financial loss, after his insurance cover was voided.
