A bit of advice please CTC, CA and DLA

I'm a long term lurker on the boards not this one but I was after some advice if anyone could help me,

I need to call tax credits to tell them our son is now in receipt of DLA MRC and LM and I have been awarded CA

I have tried putting the situation we are in into a few different calculators but different amounts keep showing,

Here's our income and details if anyone could help that would be great been worried about it as dont want to be overpaid

Hubby's income £31,500
CTC £65 a week we have 3 children under 12

Eldest son has been awarded his DLA from 11/04/13
And my CA from the same date

Thanks if anytime is able to help

My son started getting dla last year and I claimed ca....I was quite surprised how much it went up by.

I think if you ring and tell them then they send out new paperwork telling you the new amount you will get. Those calculators give an idea of what you will get but tax credits themselves are the best people to find out from.

Just noticed its middle rate he gets and there is a higher payment for those on high rate like my son that's added to the normal amount of tax credits. I don't know if middle rate and high rate get same or different from tax credits

In my experience is very difficult to work out the exact effect on the overall finances because carers allowance which increases some benefits like tax credits but in turn that reduces others such as council tax benefit. However, once the adding and subtracting has been carried out, you will be better off over all.

Edit: DLA is not taken into account as an income when assessing benefits.

Carer's allowance will be added as income, but you will now get the disability element of child tax credit.
