Claiming your personal allowance while overseas?

Hello, I have sent my R43 form (Claiming your personal allowance) off eight weeks ago and not heard a thing from the HRMC.

Do they take longer than say an R40 or P38. I ask because family members in the UK have sent their R40 and P38 forms off to the HMRC at roughly the same time, if not two weeks later than me and were re-inbursed 2 weeks ago to their bank accounts. Yet i have not as of yet, and was just wondering whether the R43 form normally takes longer as its my first one.

Also do you just get your personal allowance back or do you get all the interest tax you have paid in the previous tax year as i was not a UK resident for the full tax year.

Thanks
