why do the search pages go of the screen?

this morning, since approx 10:30, when i do a search for the last 1-500 msg postings.
the results come back and dont fit on my screen?
why?
it was ok an hour before and yesterday?
if i navigate to an individual topic type ie techie questions, its ok
