Hello,
daughter has just got a webcam for her birthday but husband and I don't want it showing and won't be using it on our log in. How do we get it so it only appears on the people who want it?
Thanks

Are you talking about it showing the webcam availability in MSN? If so, you can switch it off in the options. Not sure if it's per user or for the whole machine!Throwing acid is bad.... in some peoples eyes...0

Sorry, no I meant it's showing as an icon on all our desktops and we don't need it on all on them, just the daughter's. Can I just delete it from the desktop or will that delete the whole thing?0

yes it safe to delete it from the desktop, as it is only a shortcut.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Although you may find deleting it from one desktop will remove it from all. See if your daughter would be happy to use it from the start menu or something. If so, navigate to the program in "All Programs", right-click it & hit "pin to start menu". She will then find it's always in the list when she clicks start.yes it safe to delete it from the desktop, as it is only a shortcut. The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

You're right it did delete it from all of them but I solved that by dragging it form all programs onto her desktop. Thanks for all your help.0
