Section 75, item has become faulty

Hi everyone, I've never used a forum before so please forgive me if I'm a little slow and unsure of how to work this
I have had an Argos card for a couple of years, not sure if its a credit or a store card but its the one you can only use in Argos or at Homebase.
I bought a laptop last year (20/07/12) at Argos, I put £135 on the Argos card and paid the rest in cash. Its been brilliant up until recently, we believe that something inside has failed, the hard disk drive or perhaps the motherboard. We have found this very frustrating as it isn't even a year old yet and it has an i3 processor, which I am lead to believe is a very good processor.
Could this be an occasion when I could use the section 75 rule for getting a refund or possibly get them to fix it for free?
Thanks in advance for taking a look and replying to my question :j xxxxx

It's still under warranty, give Argos a call and get the procedure for repair from them. You won't have a problem getting it fixed for free (as long as it's not customer misuse).0

Just take it back to Argos for a warranty repair or possible replacement.0

Section 75 of The Consumer Credit Act 1974 applies to both credit cards and store cards, and indeed some other forms of credit.
Read MSE's Section 75 Refunds article for more detail on that, but as others have said, it probably makes sense to speak to Argos first.0
