Aqualisa Digital Quartz Pumped Shower Problem.

I have an Aqualisa Digital Quartz Pumped Shower which is 3 months outside its 5yr guarantee period.

Three days ago it worked fine, today completely dead, I have checked the fuse and that is fine, any ideas what the problem is?

Thanks.

A rat has chewed the wires.

A blob of elephant ear wax has entered the water system and blocked it.

    No sorry no idea

Is the box grey or black. The grey ones had a problem and Aqualisa may replace it with the new black one. Their customer service is fairly good so may be worth giving them a call.

Just had a look and as I suspected it is grey! Mind you its been working perfectly for the last five and a bit years and I doubt they would replace it free of charge now it is out of guarantee period

Just checked and now it is all working perfectly, hope it stays that way.
Would a low water pressure stop it from working, just a thought.
    Thanks.
  • Aqualisa Quartz shower unit fitted in July 2009. In the five year guarantee period we have had 2 controllers replaced and the grey box in the loft changed for a black one. In the last week (now the guarantee is ended) the water is not mixing hot and cold so unless we set it to boost so that we can slightly reduce the heat - it is red hot. So question is, how long should we expect this shower to last? As you can see, the replaced parts have lasted no more than 2 years each time. Spoke to customer services for advice and they said either pay £280 for a person to fix and get another 2 year guarantee or £600 for a complete replacement and 5 years guarantee. Should we bother? 2 years or 5 years - the shower doesnt appear to be fit for its purpose and is not man enough for the job. Anyone else had issues or any ideas that would be most welcome. Thanks for reading.
