Childcare grant won't cover costs

Hi! I'm applying for the pgce later this year but am a bit hesitant due to Childcare costs. I have three children and the grant will pay up to £255 per week. However I've worked out that my costs will be around £350 per week. I will have other funds through SFE. Do any other students struggle with high Childcare costs? It's only for one year for me so I think I'll just have to go with it but the money frightens me!

I have 2 children and because my husband earns too much (not enough to get a mortgage thought, apparently), we get no help with childcare I pay between £400-£500 a month which comes straight from Student loan and grant. I didn't think we'd manage initially because I had given up work to study but we manage ok.0

To help with childcare costs whilst I studied, my husband claimed childcare vouchers from his employer. That reduced the cost a bit.0
