family friendly pubs in exmouth

we're off to exmouth in two weeks and would like to eat at some pubs which welcome children whilst still offering good home cooked food. our children are not big fans of nugget and chip type meals ( and neither are we!).
any recommendations

Are you staying on the Haven park? When we went last year there was a pub just outside the entrance which did excellent food, was family friendly with a beer garden. A little pricey but very nice. (It can get extremely busy too). Just checked my photos and it's the Clinton Arms in Littleham.

There is a mexican/tapas in Exmouth town centre that we toook our 2 year old too last year with no problems. Can't remember name sorry but it was fairly centralish near the car parks that are on the riverfront (I think this is the address, well it's the only one I could get on a search for tapas!, the postcode on google maps certainly looks familiar as it was on a biggish junction where a few roads converged) The Mexican

also we found teh pub at the entrance tro the Haven park a bit crappy to be honest, the garden was ok to have a pint whiilst the kids played but the food we got wasn't the greatest but maybe it was a bad day

thanks for the info. the mexican sounds nice- the children will both eat rice dishes til it comes out of their ears!
