Capital One Cashback Credit Card - Please advise?

I was wondering if anyone can advise me please. I applied for a Capital One Cashback Credit card online to replace my Vanquis card that doesn't give cashback. I got accepted the same day. My card arrived this morning, but I found it strange that there was no mention in the documents about cashback terms and conditions. I phoned them to activate my card and asked about it and they said that my card is not a cashback card but a normal credit card.
I told the guy that it's not what I applied for and he said to me that they dont always give what we apply for. Can they actually do this without giving me the choice? Is it worthwhile complaining?
It completely defeats the point of me applying for the credit card now and I'm considering cancelling it.
Any advice would be appreciated.

What is the difference between you (a) being offered the standard CC and declining it -v- (b) them giving you the standard CC and you cancel it?
You can raise a complaint if you want for the lack of clarity in their correspondence but it hasnt actually cost you anything and so you're at best going to get an apology and a promise they will review their wording.0 -
