Magazine dailies problem

Just been on Now and found they had the tick boxes back. Started entering and got 5 done, but the 6th one had the video back, and it still isn't working for me properly. Tried 4 more and it still wouldn't go to submission.

So I've e-mailed again.

I can't stand these videos. They chug through every time taking AGES to finish and there doesn't seem to be a way to stop/skip them although there does seem to be a skip button. It doesn't skip. I think they have sussed peeps have a system for filling in no, no thanks quickly and want to make you go through it all because they are not getting their message across. Hope some clever person figures out a way to get rid of them.:mad:

I still couldn't get most of them to submit tonight in IE9 - particularly WOTV and Now - but switched over to Chrome and got them to go through on that. Bloomin' frustrating though, I hope they either sort the bug out soon or go back to tick boxes (or better still, none at all!!)

At the moment I do about 10-15 comps from each mag. I open them all in separate tabs, one mag at a time. I submit each comp answer then move onto the next tab. By the time I have submitted each answer I go back to the first tab and the video has usually finished and I have the confirmation screen.

I actually find it better and less hassle than the tick boxes!

Scratch that, I'm getting a combination of videos and tick boxes now. Might be alright for people with fast computers, but for me on a netbook it's v. slow going.

mije1983 has a good plan, it worked great for me. Thanks, you have saved my sanity. I luv cats suggested an ipad which I don't have, but I'm sorted now.

My puter will not cope with more than three windows & videos playing at the same time it gets red hot lol

But it is quicker than the tick boxes will just take time to get used to xxx

I opened lots of window and found 6 was best, more than that and the videos slowed down so were still running when I went back to the first one.

Can't remember which mag is was but every one I entered it was the Vanish advert that came up.

All that does is make me hate Vanish and I don't ever want to see another bottle of it, and I will now never be likely to buy it after that torture...:eek:

I couldn't get the videos to play on my ipad so had to use my PC. They worked fine on the PC (google chrome) but I had to sit through the Vanish ad about 20 times. The Nurofen ad almost as much. They only seem to have 4 different videos. Presumably they will be hitting us with more soon, maybe more than one per competition. Yawn.
