Thanks to all of you. Have downloaded the Nexus form and will join when I get paid next. I agree with the poster about travelling, have ben to the Phillipines by myself and believe me, that was an experience! Don't find that at all daunting, it's speed dating that freaks me out! What if I was the oldest? What if no one chose me? xx

Good luck with Nexus - the nice thing about it is it gives you a social life with no strings that you don't want!
Speed dating? Hmmm, have you thought about not finding any of THEM appealing and you wouldn't be seen dead etc etc lol
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
  • I met my second husband aged 40 when I turned up at his garage to buy a car :D

    I waited ten years!

You never know when it will happen, or if it ever will. In my experience, going out and 'looking' for it just made me frustrated, paranoid and suspicious.

I hate to sound patronising... but relax, and enjoy singledom. The fact you can fart in bed, eat curry and forget to clean your teeth (or other important bits) and no one will notice is so liberating. Quite apart from the fact that no matter how much I love my husband, I find I preferred sleeping alone in a double bed!

My granny always told me, 'What is for you, will NOT go by you', and somewhere, the man of your dreams is on target. Your lives will collide, whether you look for him or not.

You sound as if you are fit and keen to volunteer for worthwhile causes... how about volunteeering on environmental projects? lots of fit and caring men to meet there and a shared interest is always a good start! Friend of mine met her bloke on a project to help clear the local waterways.
