Because this was a gift to my sister I did go slightly overboard with the sweet buying, which I did over a 9 month period, adding some to my trolley each week with my weekly supermarket shop & sometimes using club card vouchers & buying any bargains I saw along the way (If you do this remember to check bb dates). I catered for about 150 ppl - I spent roughly £200 on sweets. Roughly £50 on glassware & decorations & roughly £100 for materials to build the candy cart which my husband built (he's a joiner) - I could have spent a lot less on sweets but like I say it was a gift so chose to have a large variety & husband also made the cart larger than an average one so I made sure it looked full. The candy cart went down a storm & I got lots of compliments but most of all my sister & new bro in law were happy with it so Job done. I am thinking about making a business out of it though as I really enjoyed the whole process. Hope I've helped or even inspired some of you brides to be x0

Wow Scousewife that looks incredible! You did a great job and so did your hubby building it You could definitely hire it out, I have seen lots of people offering both "dry hire" (just the cart and containers) and a full sweet buffet service xxGC2012: Nov £130.52/£125
