When running my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop from its battery the screen is very dull. I thought it must be set at some battery saving mode but when checking power saving options cannot find anything about changing the screen to full power. Does anyone know if this is something that can be changed or is it a factory setting that cannot be altered, or maybe the laptop is faulty? Thanks

Fn+Cursor (Arrow) Up. Depending on the setup, it might change the settings not permanently, but for the current session only. The way to do it is to either re-configure QuickSet, or to change the relevant settings in BIOS (F2 during start-up).0

Thanks DVB, FN+Cursor has brightened the screen, I will change the settings in BIOS to make this permanent. Thanks again.0
