AXA insurance

More of a warning rant hybrid, last year I got clobbered on my motorbike, and AXA's delegate took the bike away for assessment, just looked like a few fairings damage so when I got the call saying its a cat b write off I was !!!!ed but asked if I'd be-able to purchase from AXA but was told cat b had to be scrapped apart from salvageable parts.
A year on, it's registered as insured on MID.
So I either got shanked by the insurance co coz they could make a profit from reselling the bike, or some unlucky soul is riding a death trap, highly unlikely as it surely would be uninsurable being a cat b.
So yes, AXA,. Don't trust the !!!!!!s.
Anyway, would this almost constitute fraud? Regardless, it !!!!ed me off, I loved that bike and I knew its history.

Cat B's should only be (typically) sold to salvage, although it is possible to return them to the road but a Vehicle Identity Check is required.

AXA are right skank merchants. Have commercial property insurance with them. Tenants trashed my property. Police involved. Several witnesses. Truck load of evidence. One and half years on. Refusing to pay out. Financial Ombudsman involved0

As always the financial ombudsman service is your friend....
Especially as CAT B should not be going back on the road (some parts can be sold for spares).
Sounds like fraud to me.... but I'm not a lawyer.0 -
I'm about the renew my car insurance in the next couple of weeks and am currently with AXA. Their quote is about £30 higher than the one I'm currently considering (Admiral) so these sorts of stories could give me that extra push to get out.0

The Axa policy is normally much wider cover than an admiral Policy0 -
