European short term car insurance.
Hi
I'm off to France for two weeks with the car in August and realise that I will only have third party insurance via my present insurer. I am finding it very hard to find short term, European car insurance - can anyone point me in the right direction?
Many thanks

Try asking your present insurer, they may do it for money. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

Ditto.
Most car insurers offer comprehensive cover EU extension for £££. Expect £30+ extra for a fortnight.
PS
As of today we have a new comprehensive insurance cover with John Lewis Insurance - it includes up to 90 days of comprehensive EU cover, free of charge. Our old insurance policy (Citroen Insurance) was EU 3rd party only cover."Retail is for suckers"

We paid £19 for a week European cover last year with our insurer (lv). Just call up your current insurer and ask to add x weeks of fully comp European cover and get a price.0

Thank you for your replies to date. My present insurer does not do a 'bolt on' mid way through my policy so they will not allow me to extend it. My only option is temporary cover for a fortnight overseas. Any ideas?
Thanks in anticipation

That's unusual, who are your Insurers?0

They are One Call. Not very helpful at the moment...0
