Company cancelled my insurance

Hi there, I have 3 vehicles insured for chauffeur insurance, a driver was in a very minor bump six weeks ago, were we where totally non fault & the damage was roughly £100.

I sent the form back to my insurance company, & thought nothing of it, just before it they had sent me a recorded delivery letter stating my insurance would be cancelled if I never replied with the form.

But I thought nothing of it, as it was a nothing bump, they said they never recieved the form, therefore have cancelled my insurance.

Is there anything I can do or complain to, as I have been with them 6 years & spent over £30,000 insuring myself with them over 6 years.

They have been very unreasonable

They are usually inflexible on matters like this. By all means appeal - saying the form WAS completed and returned as requested. Offer to send a copy of it - assuming you took one.

No experience of them. I assume taxi plan are a broker - are they helping with this?

As previously stated would suggest that you find out whether you have a copy or not and see if they are willing to accept it, as most firms understand that sometimes things get lost in transit, offer to e-mail if you are able?

If not, would suggest that you lodge a complaint and make it for the attention of the chief executive of the company and explain the situation, it is possible that they have cancelled the policy due to apparent non-cooperation or non-disclosure.

If it is the former then as long as you shown that you have attempted to cooperate it makes things a little easier, in regards to the latter I think the law has changed on that aspect recently and the company has to show that you have intentionally failed to disclose, if that makes sense.
