Added new photos to a disc & the old ones have gone?

Hi can someone please help. I added a few new Photos to a multi session CD rom
And now I can't see the old ones.
Is there any way I can retrieve these photos?

    strange, sure it wasn't RW media?

    No salt intended, but I'd suggest (if you have broadband) an online backup service like mozy or carbonite. or protectmyphotos another online backup service. all have free trials and are pretty cheap. Do cds/dvds to burn, just let the software get on with spotting your changes and automatically backing them up offsite.

    If you download from your camera it may save them as Photo1..photo2 etc. Then you save them to the disk. Next batch you d/l if called Photo1..etc, they will overwrite the ones with the same name on the disk. I lost loads before discovering this. A specialist may be able to recover the lost pics.

    I have used Albertross's http://www.isobuster.com with spectacular results.
    All my lost files have reappeared.

    That's good, glad it worked.

    If these pictures are important, I'd take another backup of them, just in case the CD fails one day.

    Learned my lesson, just put all photos onto a DVD today.

    Hi can't work out how to put my photos from pc onto a cd rom, can someone let me know how to do it and would have started my own thread but can't find it :o
