Sorry probably same old problem you have all heard of many times. . I got a penalty notice from Parking Managemant Control (UK) Ltd. This was parking in a residential area near a school. I was actually on holiday at the time of the ticket, but did have several people keeping eye on my place whilst I was away in Portugal. I did ask these people to move my car about , to make it look like I was home. I live in a dodgy area with lots of break ins . So it would have been one of those. I have a disabled badge on the dash board , but I expect that is of no help to me.
I know these private companies have no right to put these charges and are merely on the hope people pay without fuss. ( had dealings with one other company)
I did nothing and ignored the tickets and fines ( increasing) . I have read many threads before. Now it has come to the debt collecting agency chasing me. Don't believe this company is a porta cabin attatched to parking company , I know this is sometimes the case.
I have also read that these debt collectors can not do anything without court order? So not sure what to do. Write to debt people saying I was wawy and don't know who was driving my car? Or just leave it again on hope they go away?

are you sure it says PENALTY charge notice and not PARKING charge notice????0

It's not going to be a penalty charge notice from this company unless they act for a council. Please put the exact terminology used on the ticket, not yoursWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Might have helped if you'd posted the right name of the company as well but we know who you mean. PCM (UK).

Advice is the same. This is junk mail. Only take seriously real Court papers (rare but must not be ignored!) not debt collector template drivel.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
