    Irrespective of whether or not this ends up in a claim, her payments won't change. Unless she makes changes to the policy (eg moves job or house or changes car), the premium was fixed for the year when she took it out.

    When renewal time comes she should shop around for the best deal as this incident probably will affect the premium (impress upon her that (again irrespective of whether or not the incident results in a claim) she must disclose this to any other insurers she approaches for quotes when they ask about her claims history).
