yet again I am I am faced with "want to do but cant do" I am redecorating some rooms and want to have a kind of mood beard where you put your ideas. I have tried copying some samples of wallpaper on to a word document only know this way of transferring images. I imagine there is a far more successful way of doing it as although the copy and paste way gave me the written details of wallpaper the pictures just wouldn't travel on to page, where am I going wrong?

When you google the picture you get a thumbnail. While you see an image you are the image is not the image itself IYSWIM but a hyperlink to the actual image. What you need to do then is click on the picture again (look for a link 'see full size image' or 'view original image') and click on that. The picture itself should appear on a screen with no other images or text. Then you should be able to copy the picture itself onto your word document

HOWEVER the colours in the picture may not be accurate. If you are looking for actual samples to reflect colours you want most retailers will allow you to take a small sample.

Keyboard "Print Screen" then CTRL+V to paste into your Word Document.
Crop the image to suit the size of the sample required.

Another way around it ... when you are looking at the picture in your browser, right click on it and 'save picture as' to your pc. You can then open up your word document and insert - picture into your document. You will probably need to resize the picture by clicking on and dragging the corners of the box around the picture.

Another suggestion - create a board on Pinterest.com, then 'pin' any images you like onto that. In most cases, it's literally just a case of clicking a button - but would also allow you to add your thoughts to it, get feedback from others etc.

Agree, but if this doesn't work, substitute "Ctrl/Print Screen" for "Print Screen" above - maybe depends which OS you are running. Then CTRL+V as above. All good.

What happened to the old-fashioned method of going into a store, tearing off a sample from the sample roll provided for the purpose, taking that home and pinning it up on the wall?

Regardless of your views on the methodology of the initiator, you are not solving his tech problem.
