agreed to a disputed amount of deposit how soon should they return the rest

My OH and I have today agreed to a deduction to our tenancy deposit.

    7-10 working days is reasonable.

Which scheme is it with? Depending the the scheme's return process, you may have to log in and release it to yourself aswell.

    its with TDS.

I just wanted to add into the email that I would be expecting it back within x amount of days.

    but not be unreasonable.

you need to log in and make a claim, minus the agreed amount. they should accept it and then it takes about 3 days.
