I havent heard of the term Independent Financial Planner. I dont recognise the initials either. They are not the usual ones you would expect for a UK IFA.
Some salesforces do not allow the term "adviser" to be used but choose titles like "planner" due to restrictions they may impose on their employees on giving advice.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

a short term loan used if you have a gap between the completion date of the house you are buying and that which you are selling. (ie allows you to buy one house before you sell the other).0

I cant answer what these other things are like though as I have FPC which no longer exists for new entrants (it was replaced with the CFP). The qualifications are much the same though just with different names as they have to meet FSA requirements. The CII exams are the most commonly used ones though. No employer would be concerned which version you have.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
