Hi,

I am looking for wireless headphones to listen to TV.

Tried these, which are not that great> http://www.johnlewis.com/philips-shd8600-30-full-size-wireless-headphones-black/p231716621. The TV is on the wall and I have no where to site the rather large (huge!!!) sender unit. I would prefer one with a much smaller sender.

Many Thanks for reading :A

If you're not too bothered about hifi quality, you could use an FM transmitter connected to the TV headphone socket, and tune in an FM radio (most mobiles phones have them), with ordinary headphones connected to the receiving radio.
Got one of these from fleabay for £4.99 delivered (item No:360497537025), works off 2 x AAA batteries, came within a week, and connected, tuned OK, with audio quality fine, without any hiss ( though this might depend on your environment?).
Worth a punt for a fiver?

    Thanks pieme,

I bought one of these > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200630289924?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 It works well.

and these > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140779651807?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 Sound is OK, but not too happy with the fit. uncomfortable to wear.

    Hi Missile

am glad you found a solution you're happy with (almost)!
I like the look of that bluetooth audio transmitter, especially the battery life and rechargeable via USB, function. Pity about the uncomfortable headphones, though I wonder if it would be possible to pair up a mobile phone using bluetooth to the transmitter, and be able to listen through the mobiles headphones? If you can try this , I would be interested to know if/how it works?

    thanks

    Hi pieme,

I am sure the transmitter would connect to your mobile, just plug it in the headphone socket. Those headphones would work well as the sound quality is very clear for speach. Far better than the much more expensive Phillips headphones. They have a built in microphone too. Both items charge using USB.

My problem is that we live on 6th floor and when the wind blows it whistles arround the building and we cannot hear the TV.

    Best Regards
