Car Insurance NCB matching

hi all,

i have been driving on my OH's car insurance for the last 4 years since i got my licence, but have just bought a second car and want to insure in my name.

does anyone know a broker or insurer that will recognise 4 years ncb as a 'bonus match'?

my OH has 8 years now, i would only claim from that the 4 years i have been driving

Sheila's wheels matched my 2nd car when I had one. Or was it diamond... was whoever I was with that year. Asked them first of all.

Unless your Husband's insurance company has a scheme to give named drivers ncd if they take out a policy with them then you have no ncd to use.

You can try local brokers ( not Swinton) and see if they can get you an introductory discount to reflect your experience but you will have to earn your own ncd by buying policies in your name over the new few years.

Normally are able to offer introductory bonus for people who dont have no claims bonus but have been driving claim free for x amount of years for Ex company car drivers ect.

Axa were able to do this for me and then again for my mum

Note: It was none transferrable - the NCB on your renewal reflected the no claims bonus earned in your own name.
