I have just received a bill from my dual fuel provider that goes back to April 2011. I pay always paid by direct debt each month but they issue bills and then in next bill previous bill is cancelled and payments made credited to new bill that covers a longer time. I have gone from in credit on my account to in debt.
Does anyone know if they are able to do this.
They have read the both meters this year and last year. Have spoken to them but my as well talk to a plank of wood.
Bill also estimates i will use over £40,000 of electicity per month for next year!!!
Thanks

I suggest you call the supplier if this is more than you estimate your consumption as
The supplier can back bill your business up to 6 years (5 years in Scotland)0 -
Smelting aluminium has always used a lot of electricity, to be fair you're getting off lightly...0

The £40,000 Annual Estimate has triggered replies that assume you are a business on a business tariff - Is this the case, or are you a Domestic consumer ?0
