Last year I ordered 2 tickets for a concert
I rang the company just now to find out where the tickets are and was told they posted them on 23 April
But when they read out the address the postcode is wrong!
Name, door number and street are fine its just the postcode
Is there a chance they could still reach me?
Thank you xx

Do you have a good relationship with your postman? Could you find the address with the postcode they have been sent too?
You would hope if they do go to another address with your name on they should find their way to you.Owner of a cute cottage in the North York Moors :j0 -
No idea who my postman is, Im always at work when they deliver :-/0

Get back on to the ticket agency ask for the track and trace number, you will then be able to view your tickets via Royal Mail.com and to were they were delivered to and view the signature
If they were sent out without a track and trace number the office were the postcode is will send them back to the ticket agency after 15 WORKING days with a sticker explaining why they were sent back (In your case NO SUCH ADDRESS)
In the meantime go to your local delivery office, explain the situation, they may be there and the postman may just have forgot to leave you a while you were out card.0 -

Is it really that complicated ? From what the OP says, the majority of the address is there, it's just a typo in the postcode - I know that Royal Mail use the postcode as the main sorting mechanism these days, but surely when they realise that the address and postcode don't match (either because the postcode is invalid or because there is no matching street name and number within it), wouldn't they simply use their own postcode finding service to check what the correct postcode is for the rest of the address and then correct it ?

If they're not even going to do this simple check, why on earth do they just sit on it for three weeks before returning to sender ?0 -
Go to/phone the sorting office where the postcode it and ask if they are holding them there.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Its not Royal Mails fault if the postcodes wrong, they send to the postcode rather than the street name, your street could be any street in GB with the same name. The odds are they are at the office were the postcode is waiting to be sent back to the sender.0

not quite
why would an office hold an item that has an address they dont deliver to?
OP. when you say the postcode is wrong. how wrong?
as in another part of the country or simply another part of the local delivery area?0 -
The first part of the postcode is correct, the second half is wrong0

then its no biggie
it will go to your delivery office
the 2nd part simply narrows it to your actual street/address
there is no reason for it to cause a problem0 -
I have good news!
Guess what finally arrived in yesterdays post? :j:j:j0
