Tesco think I spend £40 a week? Yeah right!

I would use them to build up stocks of stuff like soap powder, loo rolls, tins, meat etc. stuff you use anyway0

You can give them away, I give mine to my mum and vice versa, they never query why the names or clubcard numbers don't match.Minimalist
Extra income since 01/11/12 £36,546.450 -
I'd go with buying clothing and keep your receipt and return and get a refund. Then follow the same process for the following weeksWhy pay full price when you may get it YS0

I get these too. My theory is the way they're hiking prices all the time it will soon be easy to use them.
I just shop at Asda instead where it's normally 10% cheaper anyway.0 -
I got some of these yesterday. I'll stock up with the £6 off £40 spend, but won't bother using the £4 off £40 ones. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0

Funnily enough i had some £2/£3 off a £20 spend rather than the £40 they send.0

Sainsbobs tend to do this if you haven't been in for awhile and a couple of quid off £20.00 is worth having as I too live alone and never spend anything like £40.00 in one transaction. In fact I only shop as and when I have more than 6 things on my list of essentials and often adapt what I have indoors rather than going shopping By doing this for the past few months I have cut my food bill down by about a third and never buy things that I really am not going to use within that time.I probably shop about every ten days or so when I have run out of fresh fruit or veg or need milk0 -
I received similar only mine were for money off £90 spends. It seems they see what your usual spend with them is, add a bit, then send you a voucher based on that. All to try to get you to spend more no doubt!0

Today, I have received 1x£6 off £40 and 5x£4 off £40 coupons.
The only time I spend more than £40 in a single transaction in a supermarket is when I buy booze and clothing - mainly at Asda and S and that is about 5 times a year. I live alone and my shopping bills vary from £10 a week to £55 - depending on offers etc. On weeks I spend just a tenner - that's milk, a few reductions and Aldi veg.
So how on earth did Mr T think I spend £40 in a week? Ten weeks, yes.
On the other hand we have to work really hard to spend less than £40 pw and we've been sent nothing.
Be careful what you complain about. The only thing that is constant is change.0 -
Im using the £5 off a 40 quid spend in aldi today, splitting the shopping with my mum. Im trying to shop more in Aldi just now, Tescos prices are just too expensive. Thats a coupon in the record/mirror.0
