how to get conveyancing solicitor to speed up

Hi

I just want to know if you got any ideas of how to get the solicitor working fast, i am almost at the point of getting gazumped and already explained this to him but he is taking too long to send me anything. First he did not wish to carry out searches till he got the mortgage offer when i was ready to take the risk then he kept waiting for sales memo from estate agents which took some time but after chasing them up everyday they finally did sent it and now he has to send me his terms and conditions that I need to sign and send it back to him and have been waiting for that to come since almost a week which is delaying everything for me.

As people here have lot of ideas may be you can suggest me something to get him to work faster as I can only chase him but if he still does not send anything out I cant do much.

I am trying my best to push the deal as quickly as possible but i cant be the one asking the seller solicitor to send the sale agreement to my solicitor as I am worried that once i do sign abd send him everything he is not going to push the seller solicitor to send him the contract or anything.

Please advise

Get another solicitor however you will have to pay this one for the current work done.

As you haven't signed the terms and conditions this shouldn't be too much.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

Phone everyday asking for updates. Your paying them a lot of money so quite within you rights to pester them.
