We are heading over to Belfast for the day on the 11th May. We are looking to visit the Titanic Museum and do a bus tour. Their are only 2 of us.
Any ideas on for us to save cash on this day trip? We are going over by car on the ferry.

Are you just here for the day?
What time do you arrive? What time do you leave again? Have you booked tickets for Titanic Centre? Have you booked the bus tour?
What moneysaving ideas do you want? Car parking? Where to eat? Are you really paying the exorbitant fees for a car on the ferry to just get here and park the car for a few hours while you go off to sightsee?John0 -
We are sailing at 730am and back at 730pm.
Was going to park my car in the city centre and then go and book a bus tour. Unsure of what one to use etc as i've heard a few rip you off. We haven't booked the Titanic Centre either. I managed to get a car and driver and passenger for £50 for the day which I thought wasn't too bad.
Looking for for decent places for food too.0 -
Thats a great price for the ferry
OK for city centre parking your best bet is one of the Park and ride car parks which I think charge £3 for the day - and you can get a free bus ride up into city centre and back with the ticket issued to you on entry to the car park.
You are able to hop on and off the city tour buses and probably best to use that to get from city centre to the Titanic centre - its about a 20 minute walk from city centre - Once you have finished the Titanic centre you could then hop back on the bus and carry on with tour back to city centre. Then get bus back to car park when ready to set off to ferry again.
Will you have breakfast on the ferry? If you do a late breakfast that should keep you sustained through the morning with maybe coffee and cake before looking to eat a substantial meal when back in city centre around 4pm before heading back to ferry.
Here is the hop on hop off bus tour site

Northside park and ride is the best car park for you - situated between ferry and city centre

Looking at Titanic Centre none of the timeslots are fully booked for May 11th so probably best just to turn up at the best time for yourself and buy on the spot - you should be able to get in more or less right away.John0 -
Thanks very much for that info IrishJohn, really appreciate it0

Pleasure - its £3 for up to 8 hours in car park - maybe less if you are only there for 6 - you pay as you leave. Now what sort of food do you fancy?John0
