I wouldn't trust the toolbar anymore. Anything like that is not good.
I now have another computer and it had 30 days free of McAfee so I am using that and nothing has shown up so far. After the 30 days will go back to Malwarebytes and Ashampoo Malware/antivirus program which I was using before.
More careful now and not going to be doing any downloads.
Sandboxie I haven't tried though have heard it is a good thing for downloading things.
toolbars and downloads are probably the worst , but if you use sandboxie you can just delete the changes from the sandbox.
Still can not understand how SBTV can cause much of a problem as it never has for me... not even a warning from my protection programs.
avast anti virus is a free program, just needs your email address, and have been using it for years... even lets you know when programs such as flash, java, browsers etc need to be updated, also comes out top (or almost top) in anti virus tests. It also helps remove stuborn toolbars
see

Always remove toolbars you do not use, as even when you chose to not have them display in your browser, as they will usually still slow down your browsers.
Microsoft "windows defender" is also free, runs in the background and works well alongside anti virus programs, and can stop/remove most spyware/malware etc.
Be careful NEVER to run 2 antivirus programs at the same time... they fight as to which one scans the file.0 -
Typical! First time I've remembered the blue box in over a week and it's not there :mad:I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.
