Have personally never had malware from SBTV nor any warning from avast antivirus which normally puts up a warning about malware on web pages and blocks it, and if that missed it windows defender would catch it and put up a warning. What anti viurs program do you have running ?

If i use malwarebytes program it usually finds something after just general browsing but usually what it reports turn out to be tracking cookies (or flash cookies that it classes as pups) when i look into it such as google ads and other targeted adverts .... but those i would not class as malware myself.

Most of the downloads on the walls DO install a load of !!!! along with the downloads given the chance, but i never bother with them unless using sandboxie or other added protection.... and i would NEVER do the mobile phone downloads to a phone as i don't trust them not to try and make phone calls... so use an emulator for them as its safer and wiser.

Thanks for the info. Yes it was Malwarebytes and was pups however they seemed to be causing my computer to slow down allot however I had put the toolbar on so there also were a couple of nasties/viruses from that.
I wouldn't trust the toolbar anymore. Anything like that is not good.
I now have another computer and it had 30 days free of McAfee so I am using that and nothing has shown up so far. After the 30 days will go back to Malwarebytes and Ashampoo Malware/antivirus program which I was using before.
More careful now and not going to be doing any downloads.
Sandboxie I haven't tried though have heard it is a good thing for downloading things.

Was it 249170? I just got dq'd from a TS when I clicked I owned a Blu ray player from a list of devices. Already been dq from 2 non start PL's and no DS.

yes 249170. I clicked that I had a dvd player and various games consoles but no blue ray. also that I had purchased 6 dvd in the last 6 months.

I just did this - saw your post before so didnt diclose i had a blu ray player - judging by the questions no idea why you were dq'd cos it asked about blurays all the way through!!!
