Just heard earlier today on the radio that SKY + will be free (no £10 per month charge) even if you are on the basic package. You have to subscribe to sky but as long basic package you can get SKY +.
Which is good news for me and people who want to downgrade their packages but didnt becasue of the £10 charge .:beer:

    Checked their web site but nothing mentioned there. I'm on basic but was thinking of upgrading. Will wait and see. Assume will still have to pay for new box though:o

    Most likley we still have to pay for a box but the tenner off a month is a bonus. which means I can now get it and watch things when I want :)

    I didnt see it in this forum as I normally have a browse on here once a day. I was just happy with the news and had to post it:D

    Upgraded last week and paid £49 for a new Sky + receiver and free installation but I rang to cancel and was offered a special price :D ,if you just call and ask how much Sky + will cost you it'll probably be £99 plus £60 installation.

    Just to note that it's only free if you have a subscription.

    It still costs £10/month if you have Freesat and want the Sky+ functionality.

    Yep. I rang up yesterday to cancel and they gave me a free SKY+ box, Free installation and free SKY+ subcription on the basic package, and they are fitting it in this week.

    You could say im a happy bunny:D
