Seller entered incorrect paypal address, how should I pay?

I won auction and paid straight away however the payment came up as pending to seller.
The seller got in touch with me and asked me to cancel it which I did as she relised she had misspelt her paypal email address when she listed the item.
She has since sent me the invoice for the amount via paypal from her correct email address however am I right in thinking that by paying for the item this way I will not have buyer protection?
Ebay will not know I have paid for item as I have not paid via ebay payment page is this correct?
How should I pay for item?
Cost of item inc P&P is £11.00 and it is an experienced seller with good feedback.
Thanks

As far as I'm aware, as long as the invoice is for goods and not a gift payment, then you should be fine.0

Thanks for your reply.
On the 'request money' page their is an option for 'Goods' ( or services) but it is not an invoice is this the one I need to request the seller to send to me?
As on the actual invoice page 'Create invoice' their is no option to send as 'goods' from what I can see?New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.
