I would write to them telling them that unless you receive a full refund, you will doing a charge back on your credit card for misleading promotion.
Well that will give the disputes team a laugh....
No such chargeback rightNever ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Thanks everybody.
I spent hours last night trying to sort this out. I've written to the BBC Watchdog programme about it. I created a petition on FB but it has been removed!!!!
My credit card company are being very helpful and are sending me a form to claim the money back. I have sent several messages to Linkedin and they basically replied saying "Thanks for your subscription which will expire on 30 April 2014" or words to that effect. I will keep pushing, though, as I'm not prepared to take this lying down.
I am remaining optimistic if at least one person has so far managed to receive a refund. Thanks for letting me know.0 -

I hope you still have the email of the offer that was sent. As this is going to be the win or lose on your case.
As S75 is based on breach of contract & misrepresentation.
So how that email is worded is the main point.
No chargeback right. So S75 is the only way is the co will not refund.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Thanks. Yes, I have learned to keep everything 'just in case'! I still have several of their emails. I was so shocked that they took nearly £450 from my card before I had even tried the service. I'm not going to use their website at all now if this is how they operate.0

No sympathy here, I'm afraid.0 -
Good news! LinkedIn have repaid me my money!
And in response to zenmaster, what has it got to do with you? If a free trial (or so-called free trial is offered) what is the problem with taking up an offer to check out whether I want to enter into a longer term contract? Isn't that the point of free trials?0
