RYANAIR Problems with name input

After a neighbour had problems with Ryanair following misspelling of her surname when booking online, I was surprised to hear my sister's gripe about something similar.

She booked flights for herself and her partner who have different surnames. When she got to the payment part, she didn't notice that the surname of the second adult had automatically changed to that of the first adult.

She called Ryanair as soon as the email confirmation came through - she noticed immediately that the name of the second adult was wrong. Ryanair were most unhelpful but eventually waived the £110 name change fee.

She did a bit of googling and found quite a few incidences of people complaining that this had happened to them. The second adult surname had changed to the first adult surname on the payment page.

Has this happened to anyone else on here?

Yes but have you booked for different surnames though?

I have on several occasions. It's 99% certain that this is an autofill problem.

Absolutely, most times in fact because I travel for work and book for my boss who comes with me most times.

    I'm afraid you've been auto-filled.

It sounds like they couldn't have been more helpful!

Haha, that's what I thought as well although some people will just look for things to complain about I guess :)
