I think you might be right...I seem to be able to see my mobile on my computer and I can see my computer on my Mobile in list of devices and I can even control my computer cursor from my mobile but on my phone when I ask for services for my computer it says 'No local servics found'. So when I try to send a picture from my phone to me computer and I selected to send it vis Bluetooth my computer doesnt appear in the of options
I think the disc I got with the dongle was some sort of management software. When installing to comes up with Bluesoleil End User License Agreement' so many be its Bluesoleil !
I get Error 26 saying problem installing so then it uninsalls anything it has installed.
When I was installing the 'Driver installed Software' via Vista then it fails as the part that 'Bluetooth Periferhal Devices Failed ' and I think this is the problem. There didnt seem to be a message as to why it had failed but the other 4 items ok saying Ready to Use
any ideas as to what I can do now ?
I have just found this in the Device Management bit 'Blooth Peripheral Devices'
"This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver." Windows was unable to install your Bluetooth Peripheral Device - Windows could not find driver software for your device'
The dongle I have bought doesnt seem to have a makers name on it just has 7dayshop on it
I tried the Reinstall Driver' but got the same massage as above"The time is always right to do what is right"0 -
Please excuse my ignorance, but do you have to have a particular dongle for a particular make of phone. I have a Samsung and would like to buy the appropriate product.
Thanks for any advice.0 -

No - the Bluetooth adapters are generic. I have two different ones and both work with every phone I've tried. Some phones require special software (usually available from the phone manufacturer free). You'll probably need "Samsung PC Studio 3".
I seem to remember that the lst dongle I got has a maximum transfer rate of 1MB/s, while the other is 3MB/s, so it might be worth getting one at the higher speed - I don't think there was much difference in price.0 -
