I don't want Skype on on start-up

Since installing skype on Sunday, I have noticed my laptop takes a bit longer to start up. Also I notice a Skype icon in task bar flashing alerting me to the fact that it is on.
I would like to think that there is a box somewhere where I can untick where it might say "Active on start up" so that it didn't come active. I am quite capable of starting it up myself.
Anyone know how this can be resolved please?

open Skype, look in the Tools menu for "options". It's in there, third box down under general settings - "Start Skype When I start Windows"0

There's a number of ways you can disable a program from booting.
Windows user?
Search for the Task Manger and find either:
Skype.exe
SkypePM.exe
After this right-click and disable on start-up. If you're using Windows 8 simply ctrl > alt delete and click on the tab 'Start-up''.
Mac user?
You will have to download CCleaner which will find your boots and you'll have an option to delete them. This will also work for Windows/Linux OS.Save £2013 in 2013
