I find its best to stick to things you know about and buy yourself, as you have a good understanding of the market for these items, and whether or not you could make a profit on them.

Exactly. I buy and sell a lot of cross stitch kits. My local Littlewoods had a cross stitch kit sale recently. I bought about 15 and put them on ebay. I made a healthy profit on 9 of them and got my money back on the rest.

Don't discount eBay itself as a source of goods to sell on eBay. I regularly buy goods on eBay to resell on eBay.
If you get yourself known as a seller of ?????, with good feedback and customer relations, and put a bit of effort in to your listings, you can easily sell an item on eBay for twice the amount that someone without these would be able to sell it for.
    Good luck

Very true, although a while back i was selling tons of cd`s & dvd`s on ebay. Ive been looking out at people selling those in bulk on there thinking i could buy 100->500 in bulk from someone and then sell them individually on ebay for a profit. But, unfortunately all the ones ive seen sold in bulk have made the same as what they are worth individually. :(

Same with sim cards. They seem to make more in bulk than they do individually.

ok, i know we have gone off the topic here but i wanted to ask a quick question as if i ask the seller they might not give me a honest question, wot is better DMC or Anchor for threads? :)

Hi original Op. Please dont give up ! ebay is huge and their will be something you can sell. What kind of hobbies, intereast or your normal occupation ? For instance I love cats, hummm, and used to collect certain cat prints that were quite dear. Went into my local scotmid and they were selling them off cheap, bought a whole lot sold them for a nice profit worlwide ! Happy customers got them cheaper than they would normally. Before that I struggled a bit and just sold my old stuff.
So it is definately best in trading in what you know. Car boot sales can be good value too, so look around there. Shops closing down etc and keep an eye on the shopping boards on here ,as if there are bargains you can get them to sell on ebay to people who maybe dont have access to the product. I only sell what I like and have experience of as when I dont I just flop. That way you enjoy it too. Good luck !
