Parking Ticket code 62

Hi
I came back to my car to find i had a ticket which was for. " parking with one or more wheels on or over a footpath or any part of a road other than a carriageway". When i came to park there was a car that pulled up at the same time as me on the other side of the road. One double yellows. I pulled up on to the pavement with two wheels so that traffic mainly buses could get though. As the pavement is 3/4 foot wide i was no where near the actual footpath just on the curb.
Do I have any grounds to appeal this?, as i was only doing it to so i wasn't an obstruction for traffic. Also down the road there were a few cars actually parked fully on the pavement that didn't receive a ticket.
Thanks in advance
James

Your best bet is to go to pepipoo.com as they have a wealth of info on council tickets. Have to hand a copy of both sides of the pcn and anything else received. Confirm that this is in London, a googls street view of the location and anything else that will help.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

cheers for that. In London? I wasn't in London does that matter? i was in South Yorkshire0

Doesn't matter. All London Boroughs plus SOME towns & cities have pavement parking as a contravention. Seems like you were unluckly in that particular town that they enforce that contravention.
I see you've just posted on pepipoo so you should get some help there soon - once you have added pics of the PCN front and back (they need pics!). Here's your thread so others can follow it

HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
